Biography
The Spanish Tenor Enrique Adrados began his musical studies at the School of the Teatro Lírico Huelva. He also studied interpretation, viola and guitar.
After receiving a grant from the Spanish State and the Fundación El Monte, he moved to Madrid, where he studied singing in the ‘Escuela Superior de Canto’(1999-2005) and graduated with top marks.
In 2004-2005 Enrique Adrados was chosen, to sing in the end of course concerts in the Sommerakademie of the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, where he finished his Postgraduate studies in 2006.
At present, Enrique Adrados combines his professional engagements with master studies at the Mozarteum of Salzburg under the tutorage of Boris Bakow and Wolfgang Holzmair.
Since 2001 Enrique Adrados has sung in Spain (international festivals of music in Segovia and Oropesa del Mar, Teatro Real of Madrid, National Auditorium, Palace of Festivals in Santander, Teatro Ayala of Bilbao, etc.), Germany (Alte Oper of Francfurt, Deutsche Philarmonie of Berlin, Dresdner Philarmonie, Festspielhaus of Baden-Baden, Die Glocke of Bremen, Kurhaus of Wiesbaden, Metropol Theater of Munich, etc.) Austria (Museum Rupertinum, Wiener Saal, Argekultur, Große Studio Mozarteum, Solitär Mozarteum, etc.), Italy (Academia Santa Cecilia di Roma, Sala Filarmonica di Rovereto), and USA. He made his operatic début singing the role of Count of Almaviva in The Barber of Seville in the production of Tricicle, in Bilbao.
He has recorded the opera of Mozart Bastian and Bastianne for TVE.
His interest in contemporary music and poetry has led him to sing and premiere works by composers like Hans Werner Henze, Adelino Barrio, Ariel Ramírez, Agustín Castilla-Ávila and Guillermo Martínez, Fausto Tuscano. See new Projects of Enrique Adrados.
Enrique Adrados has been directed by Conductors like Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Dennis Russell Davis, Jesus López Cobos, Peter Schneider, Gabriele Ferro, Kent Nagano, Hugh Wolff, José de Eusebio, Martin Merry, Tomás Garrido, Vladimir Jurowski, José Luis Témes, Antonio Fauró, Jordi Casas, Joshard Daus, Sabas Calvillo, etc. and worked with National Orchestra of Spain, Symphony Orchestra of Madrid, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, RTVE Orchestra, Camerata del Prado, Nordwestdeutsche Philarmonie, Hessische Rundfunk Symphonie Orchester, Soloists of Mozarteum Orchestra.
Enrique Adrados has studied under Lilian Sukis, Alessandro Misciasci, Margaret Singer, Breda Zakotnik, Julian Molina, Manuel Cid, Miguel Zanetti, Rogelio Gavilanes, Jorge Robaina, Adelino Barrio, Rafael Pérez Sierra, Juan Pedro Aguilar, Juan Antonio Álvarez Parejo, Alejandro Zabala, Jacinto Torres, Wolfram Rieger, Ana Luisa Chova, Mark Hasting, Istvan Cserjan, Teresa Berganza, Victoria de los Angeles, Enza Ferrari, Patricia Wise, Dolora Zajick, among others. He has also had contact with Alfredo Kraus, Pedro Lavirgen, Monserrat Caballé , Cristóbal Halffter, Giancarlo del Monaco, etc.
